Design, Manufacturing, Packaging, Payment & Delivery Terms

1. General Information

Lion Sign specialises in the design and manufacture of custom signage products tailored to our customers' requirements and technical specifications.

By manufacturing our products in Türkiye, we are able to benefit from competitive production costs and offer our UK customers attractive pricing without compromising on materials, craftsmanship or manufacturing quality.

Our manufacturing capabilities allow us to provide cost-effective solutions for a wide range of signage projects, from individual LED neon signs to large-scale illuminated letters and aluminium composite panel systems.

We work with individual businesses, sign companies, advertising agencies and commercial customers seeking reliable manufacturing services at competitive prices.

Our products are manufactured at our production facilities in Türkiye and shipped to customers throughout the United Kingdom using international courier and freight services.

Product quality, secure packaging, transparent communication and customer satisfaction are fundamental principles of our manufacturing and delivery processes.

2. Design, Technical Preparation & Order Approval

Lion Sign provides bespoke design and manufacturing services based on individual customer requirements.

Customers may submit existing designs, technical drawings, print-ready artwork, reference images or design concepts.

Customers are not required to provide a finished design. Sharing an idea, specific requirements or design preferences is sufficient for us to begin discussing a project.

Design & Technical Preparation

All customer-supplied designs are reviewed for technical feasibility before manufacturing begins.

Where necessary, designs may be adapted to suit the selected materials, manufacturing processes, product dimensions and installation requirements.

For customers without an existing design, we can develop practical design solutions and prepare technical drawings suitable for manufacturing.

Depending on the product, our services may include:

Product design and visual adjustments
Technical drawings and dimensional specifications
Cutting, bending and fabrication drawings
Print-ready artwork and graphic production files
Material, colour and finish selection
Lighting and electrical system planning
Assembly and fixing details

Order Specifications

Before manufacturing begins, customers are provided with the relevant technical and commercial details of their order.

These may include:

Product dimensions and technical specifications
Materials to be used
Colours, finishes and lighting specifications
Technical drawings and design files
Order quantities
Product prices and shipping costs
Production schedules and estimated delivery times

Customer Approval

The final design and relevant technical details are submitted to the customer for review before manufacturing begins.

The approved design, dimensions, materials, colours, printed content and other technical specifications form the basis of the manufacturing order.

Manufacturing begins once the customer has approved the final design and order terms in writing and the 40% deposit has been received.

The order is then scheduled for production according to the approved specifications.

Changes requested after manufacturing has commenced may result in additional charges or adjustments to the production schedule.

Where separate charges apply for design preparation or extensive technical project work, these will be communicated before the relevant work begins.

3. Payment Terms

Our standard payment terms for custom-manufactured products are:

40% — Deposit upon order confirmation

60% — Balance payable after manufacturing and packaging are completed, but before dispatch

Following receipt of the deposit, material procurement and manufacturing processes begin.

Customers will be notified when production is complete. Photographs or videos of the finished products may be provided upon request.

Goods will be released for shipment once the remaining 60% balance has been received in full.

Alternative payment arrangements may be agreed in writing for specific projects.

4. Manufacturing & Dispatch Preparation Times

Lion Sign applies different manufacturing and dispatch preparation periods depending on the product category.

LED Neon Signs

Small and standard LED neon signs can normally be manufactured within 1–4 days.

International shipments are organised according to our scheduled dispatch programme.

Accordingly, manufacturing, quality control, packaging and dispatch preparation for small LED neon signs will be completed within a maximum of 7 calendar days .

Built-Up Letters

The manufacturing of built-up letters may involve metal cutting, bending, welding, surface finishing, lighting installation and quality control.

Production times may vary depending on order volumes and technical requirements.

For standard orders, manufacturing and dispatch preparation will be completed within a maximum of 14 calendar days .

Aluminium Composite Panel Signs

Manufacturing may include aluminium composite panel cutting and fabrication, supporting framework production, lighting installation and other assembly processes.

For standard orders, manufacturing and dispatch preparation will be completed within a maximum of 14 calendar days .

Signs Exceeding 2.5 Metres

Signs exceeding 2.5 metres in length or width are planned individually, taking into account transportation safety and packaging requirements.

The standard manufacturing and dispatch preparation period for these products is a maximum of 14 calendar days .

Depending on their dimensions, products may be manufactured in sections, packaged separately or placed in specially designed transport crates.

Special Projects

Exceptionally large projects, high-volume orders or products requiring specialised materials may require additional manufacturing time.

Where this applies, a revised production schedule will be communicated and agreed in writing before the order is confirmed.

When the Manufacturing Period Begins

The stated manufacturing periods begin once all of the following conditions have been met:

Written order confirmation
Approval of the final technical drawings and product specifications
Receipt of the 40% deposit

International shipping and customs clearance are not included in the manufacturing and dispatch preparation periods.

5. Scheduled Dispatch System

Lion Sign may operate a scheduled dispatch system to provide safe and cost-effective international transportation.

Where appropriate, orders are organised according to the selected transport method and shipping schedule.

Combining suitable orders within the same transport programme may improve shipping efficiency.

Scheduled dispatch arrangements will not extend the manufacturing and dispatch preparation period confirmed for the order.

Where an alternative dispatch date is required for a particular order, the customer will be informed and their approval obtained in advance.

6. Shipping & Delivery

Our products are shipped from Türkiye to the United Kingdom through international courier and freight providers.

The shipping method is selected according to the dimensions, weight, number of packages and delivery destination.

Depending on the order, available transportation methods may include express courier services, international road freight or other suitable logistics solutions.

Shipping costs are calculated individually and communicated before order confirmation.

Estimated transit times are based on delivery information provided by the selected courier or freight company.

Actual delivery times may vary due to customs clearance, weather conditions, public holidays or operational circumstances affecting the carrier.

Lion Sign assists customers with shipment tracking and the resolution of delivery-related enquiries.

A specific delivery date is guaranteed only where expressly agreed in writing. This does not affect any mandatory delivery obligations under applicable law.

7. Packaging & Crating

Lion Sign uses packaging methods appropriate to each product to reduce the risk of damage during international transportation.

Packaging is selected according to product dimensions, weight, materials and shipping requirements.

LED Neon Signs

LED neon signs are packaged to protect delicate lighting components and decorative surfaces.

Protective padding and supporting materials may be used to prevent direct contact between the products and hard packaging surfaces.

Where necessary, power supplies, connecting cables and installation accessories are packed in separate compartments.

Built-Up Letters

Built-up letters may be packaged individually, depending on their size and design.

Suitable protective materials are used to protect surfaces, edges and corners.

For orders containing multiple letters, products are arranged to prevent contact damage during transportation.

Reinforced cartons or transport crates may be used for larger orders.

Aluminium Composite Panel Signs

Aluminium composite panel signs may be prepared in separate sections to reduce shipping dimensions and improve transportation safety.

Composite panels, metal supporting structures, built-up letters and other components may be separated and packaged individually.

Protective materials are used to help prevent scratches, corner damage and contact between metal components and finished surfaces.

Large Signs & Special Crating

Signs exceeding 2.5 metres, as well as heavy or delicate products, may require specially constructed transport crates.

Crate dimensions are determined according to the space required by the products and their components when prepared for shipment.

During crating:

Internal supports may be used to prevent movement during transportation.
Delicate surfaces and corners are protected.
Metal components and lighting equipment are separated where appropriate.
Package dimensions and weights are planned according to the transportation method.
Individual components may be numbered for identification and assembly.

Where wooden packaging is used for international shipments, materials complying with applicable ISPM 15 requirements are used.

Disassembled Shipments & Technical Documentation

Certain products may be shipped in separate sections to facilitate transportation.

Required fasteners and assembly accessories included in the order are supplied with the relevant packages.

For products shipped in sections, appropriate assembly drawings, component layout information and necessary electrical connection diagrams are prepared and supplied inside the relevant packages or transport crates.

Where required, individual components are numbered to correspond with the technical drawings.

These documents are intended to provide technical guidance to appropriately qualified personnel responsible for installation.

Customers are informed of any disassembled shipping arrangements before order confirmation.

8. Customs Duties & Import Procedures

All products are exported from Türkiye.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, commercial shipments to Great Britain are supplied under DAP (Delivered at Place) — Incoterms® 2020 .

Under these terms, Lion Sign arranges export procedures in Türkiye and transportation to the agreed delivery destination.

The customer is responsible for import customs clearance in the United Kingdom, applicable customs duties, import VAT and associated import charges.

Tax and customs obligations may vary depending on the customer's status and the applicable regulations. Additional VAT and delivery requirements may apply to orders placed by individual consumers.

Alternative delivery terms may be agreed in writing before order confirmation.

9. Shipping Damage

Customers are encouraged to inspect the external condition of packages upon delivery.

If visible damage is identified, customers should, where possible, report it to the carrier at the time of delivery and document the condition with photographs.

In the event of damage, customers are asked to provide:

Photographs of the damaged packaging
Photographs of the affected products
The shipment or tracking number
Any damage report issued by the carrier, where available

Lion Sign will review reported damage and assist the customer and carrier in determining an appropriate resolution.

Nothing in this section limits customers' statutory rights under applicable law.

10. Installation & On-Site Assembly

Lion Sign does not provide on-site installation, electrical connection or commissioning services.

Our services cover the design, manufacture, quality control, appropriate packaging and shipment of products in accordance with the agreed delivery terms.

Installation, fixing, connection to the electrical supply and commissioning at the delivery location must be arranged by the customer.

Installation and commissioning must be carried out in accordance with the product's technical specifications and applicable local safety requirements by appropriately qualified personnel.

For products supplied in sections, relevant assembly drawings, component layout information and necessary electrical connection diagrams are provided inside the appropriate packages.

The provision of technical drawings and electrical connection diagrams does not constitute an on-site installation or commissioning service by Lion Sign.

Customers are responsible for arranging the assessment of the installation location and ensuring that supporting surfaces and structures are suitable for the intended installation.

Lion Sign's statutory obligations relating to product safety and conformity with the agreed product specifications remain unaffected.

11. Order Changes & Cancellations

Most Lion Sign products are manufactured according to customer-specific dimensions, designs and technical requirements.

Customers are therefore encouraged to review all technical details carefully before approving production.

Changes requested after manufacturing has commenced may result in additional charges or an extended production period.

Cancellation and refund requests will be assessed according to the stage of production, costs incurred, agreed contractual terms and applicable law.

Nothing in these terms affects any mandatory statutory consumer rights.

International shipping: Transit times vary according to the estimates provided by the selected carrier.

Customs clearance: Subject to processing times determined by the relevant customs authorities.

Dispatch: Goods are released for shipment once manufacturing and packaging are complete and full payment has been received.

Manufacturing and international shipping periods are calculated separately.

The final production and delivery arrangements for each order are confirmed during the order approval process.

13. Important Notice Regarding Installation Services

Lion Sign provides design, manufacturing and product shipping services only. On-site installation, electrical wiring and commissioning are not included in our services.

Installation and commissioning must be arranged by the customer and carried out by appropriately qualified individuals or contractors.

Required technical drawings, assembly information and electrical connection diagrams for products supplied in sections are provided inside the relevant packages or transport crates.

This notice does not exclude or limit Lion Sign's statutory obligations relating to product safety or the supply of products that conform to the agreed specifications.
